We are so excited that March has arrived. In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, March has come to be known as National Reading Month. Schools across the nation "Read Across America." CIS is going to celebrate by all reading the same book. We have purchased copies of the book for each classroom...all students and staff. Students will be assigned reading each night and will return the following day to answer trivia questions, participate in discussions and projects about the book, and more. We will be giving students that participate a chance to earn prizes each day. Check out this video at
A copy of the assignment calendar can be found below. We encourage all students to read this book, but if your student is struggling, we will have read-alouds recorded for each chapter that your child can listen to while they follow along in their book. We will post the links to Schoology and Facebook each day. You can also access them through this YouTube playlist. Each chapter was read and recorded by a different staff member.
