Tonight is the Beta Induction ceremony for the entire district. It will be at the Fine Arts Building. Our club will be inducting 83 new members. Inductees have been notified. This is just a reminder that they should arrive by 6:15 p.m. Mrs. Hollingsworth will be there. The ceremony will be at 6:30.

National Family Literacy Day is celebrated on November 1st each year and is a kickoff to National Family Literacy Month. This November, the celebration of National Family Literacy Month brings about a great opportunity for families to get back into the tradition of reading as a family.
Here are ways you can promote family literacy at home.
1. Set aside time each day for reading.
2. Keep books visible around the house.
3. Make regular visits to the library.
4. Read the book version of your child’s favorite movie.
5. Organize a children’s book club with friends in the neighborhood.
November News
You are invited to our family night and carnival tomorrow night. It will begin at 5:30. Clarksville Intermediate students and their families will need to go to the safe room first. Members of the community will be set up to hand out free goodies and provide information and resources to you. CIS students will receive a free book and five free tickets to the carnival, which will be located in the front of the school. The carnival is open to everyone from 5:30-7:30. Tickets are $1 each or 25/$20. We will have a bounce house, hot dogs, sno cones, popcorn, cotton candy, a dunk booth, a petting zoo, games, and more! We will also be concluding our Kiss the Pig contest at the end of the carnival. Most items are only 1 ticket. Come out on Thursday to support CIS.
Reminder: There will be no After-School Tutoring on Thursday, October 27 due to CIS Family Night/Carnival or Monday, October 31 due to Halloween.

Basketball registrations are online. Please register your child before December 3rd, 2022. After that date there will be a $20 fee for late registrations. We will hold drafts on December 11th, 2022. There is a parent information sheet and parent code of conduct sheet in the document portion of the online registration. Please read those documents.

This week we celebrate Red Ribbon Week. Tomorrow...we will RUN away from drugs! Wear tennis shoes and athletic clothes! Along with our dress up days, we will have a kindness challenge each day. Tomorrow students are encouraged to help their guardian with a chore.
Attached is a list of dress up days for the remainder of the week.
