February News

Global Play Day gave students a much needed break from technology.

Tomorrow's Blended Friday will be a bit different this week. Clarksville Elementary School will be participating in Global Play Day. Instead of assignments on Schoology, students will be encouraged to play. Unplug from electronics and worksheets. Play board games, play outside, fish, bike ride...just play!

This week is National School Counseling Week. Clarksville Elementary is proud to have Mrs. Frew and Ms. Werner helping our students.

Calendar as of February 1, 2021

We will be busy at CES next week. Next Monday is the 100th day of school! Grades 3-5 will be taking ACT Interim tests Monday-Thursday of next week. Also, we will also be celebrating homecoming week by dressing up each day. Go Panthers!

School Based Telehealth
Dear Parents/Guardians,
ARcare is excited to be working with the Clarksville School District by offering parents and students a new option for pediatric care. Through telemedicine technology, your child can connect with one of our providers for quick assessment and treatment within minutes without even having to leave school.
With a parent’s permission, the student will be evaluated by an ARcare provider through a secure, HIPAA compliant video connection. With the assistance of a school nurse, and the use of special equipment, our provider can listen to a patient’s heart and lungs and examine their ears, throat, eyes and skin conditions. Once the assessment is complete, a summary of the visit and instructions for follow-up care is given to the parent. Our provider will submit an order for prescription medications to the pharmacy of your choosing, if needed.
Our school-based telehealth clinic can provide treatment to many common illnesses. Some of those illnesses and conditions include: allergies, earaches, fever, headaches, coughs and colds, respiratory infections, pink eye, rashes, bug bites, nausea and vomiting, muscle sprains and urinary tract infections. In addition to onsite rapid testing for flu and strep, COVID-19 testing will also be available.
If you would like for your child to have access to our school-based telemedicine program, you can register electronically using the online link https://hipaa.jotform.com/93155638366163 or you can complete a paper packet (available at your school nurse’s office) and return to your child’s school.
In addition, the school nurse will always contact a parent/guardian before a child receives any telemedicine services. If the nurse is unable to reach a parent/guardian, your child will be given the care normally provided by school health staff.
Please contact the school or our office with any questions you may have.
Respectfully,
ARcare | Coordinated Care Program
