Clarksville Schools will not have on-site instruction tomorrow 2/16/2021. Continue with AMI/ remote instruction tomorrow.

Due to the possibility of inclement weather Clarksville will not have on-site instruction tomorrow 2/11/2021. Students will need to participate in AMI/ remote learning tomorrow. All campuses will be closed tomorrow. Teachers will be available via email or Schoology.

The Clarksville Junior High School will pivot to remote learning starting tomorrow, January 26th. On site learning will resume on Monday, February 1st. The reason for this actions is due to having a number of staff members isolated and quarantined because of COVID-19.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions we have had to implement concerning deliveries and visitors, and given that Valentine's Day falls on Sunday, Clarksville Schools will not accept Valentine deliveries this year.

January 8th, will be our first Blended Friday of the spring semester. Buses will run the same reduced routes as last semester. The afternoon route will begin at 12:10 PM. School will start at the regular time and be open until 3 PM . All students are expected to participate in their virtual classrooms. School Based Telehealth Dear Parents/Guardians, ARcare is excited to be working with the Clarksville School District by offering parents and students a new option for pediatric care. Through telemedicine technology, your child can connect with one of our providers for quick assessment and treatment within minutes without even having to leave school. With a parent’s permission, the student will be evaluated by an ARcare provider through a secure, HIPAA compliant video connection. With the assistance of a school nurse, and the use of special equipment, our provider can listen to a patient’s heart and lungs and examine their ears, throat, eyes and skin conditions. Once the assessment is complete, a summary of the visit and instructions for follow-up care is given to the parent. Our provider will submit an order for prescription medications to the pharmacy of your choosing, if needed. Our school-based telehealth clinic can provide treatment to many common illnesses. Some of those illnesses and conditions include: allergies, earaches, fever, headaches, coughs and colds, respiratory infections, pink eye, rashes, bug bites, nausea and vomiting, muscle sprains and urinary tract infections. In addition to onsite rapid testing for flu and strep, COVID-19 testing will also be available. If you would like for your child to have access to our school-based telemedicine program, you can register electronically using the online link https://hipaa.jotform.com/93155638366163 or you can complete a paper packet (available at your school nurse’s office) and return to your child’s school. In addition, the school nurse will always contact a parent/guardian before a child receives any telemedicine services. Clarksville School Probable Close Contacts Testing WHAT: COVID Testing; for Clarksville School District student Probable Close Contacts. HOW: Drive-Through testing in your car. Students that take the OPTIONAL OFF CAMPUS/VIRTUAL ON LINE LEARNING can still receive breakfast and lunch on the Fridays. These meals are offered to any child under the age of 18 FREE of CHARGE. Meals can be picked up between 11:00 am and 12 noon at the Clarksville Jr. High. PICK UP will be under the awning in the bus lane. Remain in your vehicle at all times. You are asked to register for meals by following the link in the students SCHOOLOGY page. PLEASE order by 9 am on Friday. There is an option to request breakfast. Virtual Care School Nurse – ARcare is accepting applications for a LPN to assist with the Virtual Care Program at Clarksville Schools. The Virtual Care School Nurse works as part of the clinical provider team and will work alongside the school nurse to attend to any needs students or staff may have. Due to the large number of 4th grade staff members that have been quarantined, because of COVID-19 exposure, we will be pivoting the 4th grade to remote learning for the rest of this semester. This semester ends on December 18th, which is the last day of school prior to the Christmas break. Also, please keep your 4th grade students at home on the virtual Friday tomorrow and on December 18th.

Tomorrow, November 6th, is a Blended Friday. Buses will run reduced routes. The afternoon route will begin at 12:10 PM. School will start at the regular time and be open until 3 PM . All students are expected to participate in their virtual classrooms tomorrow.

This Friday, October 30th, will be a district wide Flex Day. Flex Days are intended to be used by staff members needing professional development hours. Tomorrow, October 9th, will be our first Blended Friday. Students have the choice of staying home and working virtually, or coming to school to work virtually. Buses will run as usual. We do encourage our students to work virtually from home when possible, but if you need to send your child to school that option is also available. The Clarksville School Board recently approved a change to the district’s Ready for Learning Plan. The change creates a 4+1 blended schedule. This means Monday through Thursday will be school as normal, but Friday will be a blended-virtual, and on-site day. The first blended day will begin Friday, October 9th. “Blended Fridays” give parents/students the option of learning from home or school. Students who choose to learn from home on Fridays will not be counted absent. Instruction on blended Fridays will be 100% virtual. These are catch-up days for teachers and students: there will be no new content taught or major assessments given. This change is being made primarily to help ease the burden on our faculty. We have listened and we trust the feedback received from our teachers: the amount of work required with our current model of instruction is not sustainable. Blended Fridays will give teachers protected time for the added tasks that have come with this unusual school year, and are designed to bring relief to everyone: parents, students, and staff. This is a hard time for all of us. We hope this will help. Meals will be provided to all students that choose to attend school on blended Fridays.
